The legendary Dallenbach ranch, sprawling over 140 acres of pristine Colorado Mountains, is a landmark property in the Frying Pan River Valley, and being only 20 minutes from downtown Aspen, its one of Colorado’s best kept secrets!. Originally homestead by Dan Gennan in 1896, the first blacksmith in the small town of Basalt. Today, the ranch boasts beautifully renovated original cabins for rent for short term, and long term tenants. The Frying Pan River is one of the best fly fishing rivers in the country, and the Dallenbach Ranch is nestled right on the banks!
Our stay was great! Cozy little cabin right along the river. Beautiful views of red cliffs right outside our door. Very easy to get to and a short drive to the mountain! Had everything we needed, extra bedding, kitchen ware, and toiletries. Whole Foods is just right down the road. Very private – didn’t see anyone else our entire stay. Would highly recommend as a pet friendly, affordable option if skiing Aspen.
“ Some of the best trout fishing in the world!! And its right outside the cabin I stayed in!”
“We stayed in the executive cabin for a weekend get away, and it was incredible. The view of the frying pan, plus the great little town of Basalt makes for a great weekend. Not too mention being 25 min from Aspen!”
“The A frame cabin was awesome! My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 days, Pintrest perfect! The Deck of our cabin was inches from the river! Most beautiful place to stay in Colorado!”
